It is not easy to cut an onion.
Because of its shape, you can cut yourself easily if you don't have the right technique.
Especially for cutting smaller pieces.
Luckily, here's the trick to cutting an onion safely.
The technique involves using the skin of the onion as a handle to stabilize it:
How to do
1. Instead of peeling off the thick skin right away, cut off only one end of the onion.
2. Then fold back the thicker parts of the skin to form a natural grip.
Results
There you go, you can cut your onion into small pieces without any risk :-)
This handle allows the onion to be much more stable. Especially when you get to the end of the cut.
With this trick, you will easily be able to cut the last small pieces which are normally difficult to cut and to hold at the same time.
Very useful if you are not a pro at cutting, like me ;-)
