Why I Clean My Iron With White Vinegar.
Sometimes my iron gets clogged with limescale.
Suddenly, he ironed less well.
To find a clean and efficient iron, I use white vinegar, a simple and effective grandmother's trick.
To clean the sole of my iron, white vinegar is THE solution.
Efficient and less expensive
It's a super anti-limescale. It is about 10 times cheaper than branded anti-limescale products found in the market.
And in addition, white vinegar is a miracle product that is used for a lot of other everyday things, so I have it on hand at home all the time.
How to do ?
This is how I do to cleanse the sole, and also theinterior, of my iron. Follow these few simple steps.
1. I take my iron and empty it if there is any water left in it.
2. Next, I pour white vinegar in the empty tank.
3. I plug it in and adjust it to the steam position.
4. I press the button to spray several times.
The vinegar goes dissolve limestone stuck in the ducts of the iron and the small holes in the sole.
5. I let the iron run so that the white vinegar evaporates.
6. Once the liquid is totally gone, I refill the reservoir of my iron, but this time with water.
7. I let the liquid evaporate again, to finish cleaning my iron.
Results
There you go, it's over. And every time I do this little scrub, I get a lot of iron more efficient. In addition, I can iron in the steam position without getting small bits of limestone on my clothes.
Savings made
An anti-limescale product for 10 € or a liter of white vinegar for less than 1 €? I chose! At the rate of 2 liters per year, this makes 18 € of economy. Just on the iron, because white vinegar is useful for many other savings!
