How to do
1. Get a pot, potting soil, and some basil seeds.
2. Plant the seeds in the pot with some potting soil.
3. Water.
4. Wait for it to grow!
5. Cut a few leaves from your basil.
6. Spread them around the house.
Results
And there you have it, the flies bothered by the good smell of basil disappear :-)
Then you just have to continue to maintain your small pot of basil with a little water from time to time. It will just be necessary to ensure that the ground is always a little wet.
That's it that's all. The flies will leave you alone as long as there is a smell of basil, however slight.
