6 Magic Tricks To Make Your Tile Look Like NEW.
Want to clean your dirty and tarnished tiles?

1. To clean your tiles without streak
The trick to cleaning the tiles on a daily basis without leaving traces is to use the duo of white vinegar + baking soda.
Half fill a bucket with hot water. Put 2 glasses of white vinegar.
Pour ½ glass of baking soda. You will see your mop will work miracles without leaving any trace! No need to rinse.
2. To remove traces of limestone
Is your tile very dirty with lots of traces of limestone? It often happens in the bathroom. Fortunately, my grandmother has a secret to getting dirty tiles back.
To clean it up, now is the time to eat potatoes! Store the cooking water for the potatoes. Let cool.
Then scrub your tiles with this water and a broom. Leave to dry for 15 min. Then fill a bucket with 2 liters of water. Add 1 tablespoon of baking soda. Even traces of limestone cannot resist it.
3. To remove grease stains
In the kitchen, it is not uncommon to have grease stains on the tiles. Especially if it is a bit porous. In this case, nothing beats the land of Sommières.
Spread the Sommières soil over the ugly spots. Leave on for 30 min. Wipe with a damp sponge. Repeat if some stains resist.
4. To remove damp spots
On the tiled terrace, by the pool or in the bathroom, damp spots may appear. Don't panic, to remove these traces, boil some water.
Take 6 volumes of water and add 1 volume of white vinegar. Let cool so you don't get burned. Using a sponge soaked in this mixture, wipe away any moisture stains. Do not rinse. Goodbye to damp marks!
5. To clean the joints of the tiles
Grime can get stuck on the tile joints of the shower or bathtub in the bathroom. To get rid of them easily, generously sprinkle coarse salt all over the tiles.
Pour 1 part of white vinegar in 10 parts of water. Take a broom and scrub with the vinegar water. Rinse it off with warm water.
6. To waterproof the tiles
Do you want to waterproof your outdoor tiles or the tiles in your shower in the bathroom? Half fill a bucket with hot water. Add 5 tablespoons of ammonia. Wash the floor with this mixture. Leave to dry.
Once completely dry, take a clean cloth. Soak it in linseed oil. Wipe down the tile thoroughly with your dampened rag. Leave to dry. Then repeat the operation. And presto, your tiles are now waterproof.
Note that these tips work for porous tiles, terracotta tiles, cement and stoneware tiles.
