The working trick to remove the white haze from the bleached glasses.
The water in my area is super hard!
Result, when I wash my glasses in the dishwasher, it shows ...
Over time, my glasses become almost completely white and no longer translucent at all.
Are you also looking for something against the white veil on the glasses?
Fortunately, I have discovered a trick that works to remove the white veil from bleached glasses.
Everything you need, it's white vinegar and baking soda. Look, it's very simple and very effective:
What you need
- White vinegar
- bicarbonate
- sponge
- bowl
How to do
1. Soak the glasses for 30 minutes in a bowl of white vinegar. Make sure they are completely covered or rotate them from time to time.
2. Sprinkle baking soda on the sponge.
3. Rub the glasses with the sponge.
4. Put the glasses in the dishwasher to wash them as usual.
Results
And there you have it, the white marks on your glasses have completely disappeared :-)
Easy, fast and efficient, isn't it?
Goodbye limescale deposits and hello transparent glasses!
And all this without effort or dangerous and expensive products.
You don't even need to rinse the glasses before putting them in the dishwasher after the treatment.
Do this cleaning about every 3 weeks, to prevent this white deposit from getting stuck in the glasses. Otherwise, it will be more difficult to remove.
This trick also works for decanters, bowls, salad bowls or glass vases.
Why does it work?
The white vinegar attacks the limestone plates deposited on the glass.
The bicarbonate then permanently loosens the limestone with its granular side. It removes the last persistent white traces.
Note that this trick works on glasses tarnished by limestone only.
It does not work for glasses that have been bleached by the limestone + dishwasher softener duo which attacks the glass.
If this is the case with your glasses, unfortunately there isn't much you can do about it.
