My Family Gratin Recipe For a Balanced and Cheap Meal.
Are you looking for a simple and economical recipe to delight your family?
Here is a single dish gratin. It is balanced and easy to prepare.
In addition, it is delicious and can be declined in many ways!
I am sure you will adopt it.
Ingredients for 4 persons
- 5 to 6 zucchini
- 200 g of diced ham
- 180 g of rice
- 2 tablespoons of heavy or semi-thick cream
- grated Gruyere
How to do
1. I put olive oil in the bottom of a high-sided pan, and I immerse my peeled zucchini in small slices or fine pieces.
2. I dirty them right away and put the rice in right away.
Zucchini returns their water by cooking (thanks to the salt), and cook the rice at the same time.
3. When the rice is cooked, I drain.
4. In a gratin dish I then mix the zucchini and rice with the diced ham.
5. I distribute 2 nice tablespoons of heavy or semi-thick cream, depending on what I have in the fridge.
6. I pepper, I mix.
7. Then I cover it all with grated Gruyere so that it browns.
Cooking
Depending on the oven, allow between 20 and 30 minutes at 180 ° or 200 °, for cooking.
At home, we call it "Lisa's gratin" (that's my daughter's first name).
Because at the start, I was given the recipe without the ham, and when she was 4 years old, my daughter told me that there was a starch, a vegetable ... and that we could add to it ham to make a balanced meal!
Often, I make a green salad to accompany it ...
To note
In fall and winter, prepare this gratin with frozen zucchini. Or, to eat seasonal vegetables, replace the zucchini with cauliflower.
