Results
There you go, you now know how to paint with shaving foam :-)
All that's left to do is grab a brush and let your imagination take you. Do not hesitate to apply a good amount of paint to have a nice volume.
Once your artwork is finished, let it dry. The colors will end up being a little darker but the paint will keep its volume and spongy appearance for a few days.
If you want a thicker texture, you can add a little more glue.
Shaving foam rainbow
As I wanted to make a rainbow, we made lots of colors and even a bowl of white to make clouds. You can't have a texture that looks more like clouds than this!
All you need to do is add a good dose of foam paint to the sheet. The texture is awesome, isn't it?
When it dries, the colors get darker.
While the paint was drying, the children wanted to touch it with their fingers. To tell the truth, no one can resist this texture of foam!
Flying shaving foam balloons
After we finished our rainbow, we made a bunch of balloons.
I started by making the strings of the balloons with a black pen. Then we put a generous amount of paint in a round shape at the end of each string.
When the paint dried, the texture was incredibly foamy.
My kids love it. They like to mix colors to see what it looks like on paper. For example, the effect on black paper is awesome.
Next time I think I'll add more glue. I am curious to see the result of the texture.
Seriously, aren't these clouds amazing? This homemade foam paint is really easy to do and fun to paint with the kids.
They loved the texture and they really had fun mixing the colors. With only 3 ingredients, and thanks to this very simple, you will be able to occupy your children for hours.
Since it's a paintless painting, it's a great activity for preschool kids.
