An Inexpensive Stuffed Cabbage Recipe.

If you're anything like me, you've heard of at least 20 variations of stuffed cabbage recipes.

Difficult to navigate and, above all, to know which will be the most economical.

While being delicious, of course!

Try this one, you will tell us the news:

economic stuffed cabbage

Ingredients for 4 persons

- a green or white cabbage, not too big

- 200 g of minced meat

- 2 eggs

- 1 bowl of bread crumbs soaked in milk

- beef or poultry broth

- 2 nice carrots

- 2 onions

- 1 glass of white wine

- salt pepper

- optional: a little tomato sauce

How to do

1. Immerse your cabbage for 15 minutes in a saucepan of boiling water.

2. While it drains, peel your carrots and onions.

3. Finely chop one of the onions.

4. In a bowl, mix the minced meat with the breadcrumbs, eggs and chopped onion.

5. Take the cabbage leaves one by one, garnish them with stuffing.

6. Tie up your cabbage balls.

7. In a large saucepan, put your stuffed cabbage leaves, white wine, 2 glasses of broth, the remaining onion and carrots.

8. Salt and pepper and cook for 1 hour over moderate heat.

Results

And there you go, your stuffed cabbage dish is ready :-)

You can serve it as is or with rice. Also know that it is excellent once reheated.

It is a simple recipe to make and economical. Ideal to prepare in winter! It is a delicious complete dish that the whole family enjoys.

Bonus tip

To add some flavor, you can add some tomato sauce to the pan. Serve, if desired, replace the rice with potatoes.

If you have any unstuffed cabbage leaves, save them for the next day. You can, for example, fry them with bacon.
