We would like to keep the leather seats in our car looking good for as long as possible.

However, cleaning products are really expensive ...

Fortunately, my mechanic gave me some economical tips to take care of the seats at a lower cost.

Here are two effective maintenance techniques to clean and, above all, shine your car seats without breaking the bank. Look :

1. Dust

To maintain them properly, they must first be dusted off.

No need to use overpriced products! A simple cloth soaked in water, which you will pass over the entire surface of the seats, is enough.

This scrubbing is to be done every week.

2. Nourish and polish

What you need to choose from:

- moisturizing wipes

- baby milk

- care cream

These products will nourish your leathers at least as well as industrial products.

It is enough simply to apply them on the chair of the car, by massagingthe leather with a soft cloth so that they penetrate well and nourish it.

This treatment is to be applied every 3 months.

3. Bonus tip

If your seats are ever really messed up, there is a way to bring them back to life.

Using a cloth, apply a little talcum powder to your chairs.

Then mix 2/3 of turpentine with 1/3 of softened beeswax which has moisturizing and protective properties.

Finally, the preparation must be applied to the chairs, let dry and then shine with a cloth.

And there you have it, you now have beautiful, clean seats!

Before cleaning all of the leather on your car with these tips, test it on a small, inconspicuous area. You have to be sure that these treatments are suitable for the leather of your car.

Leather is a material that requires a minimum of maintenance. Unkempt leather tends to tarnish and dry out.

Nothing should be neglected to keep your car in good condition. If you do not maintain your seats regularly, you will quickly end up with ugly leathers.
