Where is the North, the East, the West and the South? It Will Be Easy Even Without A Compass.
Are you a fan of nature walks?
But you don't have a compass to find your way around. Do not panic !
So here's a very practical tip so you don't get lost.
To find north, east, west or south without a compass, look, it happens there!
How to do
1. Take a sewing needle, a stopper and a bowl filled with water.
2. Cut a thin slice of about 5 millimeters in the cork of your cork, or if you don't have a cork, take a small tree leaf.
3. Magnetize the needle by rubbing it on a woolen cloth.
4. Tape the needle to the cork or tree leaf.
5. Place it gently in the container filled with water.
6. The needle will start to turn and give you a north-south direction!
Results
There you go, you now know how to spot north, east, west and south :-)
Be careful not to have any metallic object on you. This disrupts the magnetism of the needle and distorts the experience.
So if you are lost in the forest, you just need a small paper clip or a needle, a bowl, a little water and tape to find your way north.
At the same time, if you have an iPhone, you can use the integrated compass, it will certainly be easier ;-)!
