Potatoes, cream, milk, butter and some herbs ...

Ingredients
- 1 kg of potatoes
- 240 g of fresh cream
- 180 ml of milk
- 115 g of butter
- salt, pepper
- 3 cloves of garlic
How to do
1. In a Dutch oven, pour the pieces of peeled potatoes, covered with at least 3 cm of water.
2. Simmer until tender (20-30 min depending on the size of the potatoes). A knife goes in easily when cooked.
3. Combine the butter, chopped garlic and milk in a small saucepan. Heat over low heat. Leave aside for now.
4. Drain the potatoes in a colander and return them to the hot pot. Mash the potatoes.
5. Add the butter, milk and garlic mixture.
6. Mash the potatoes with a fork until they are about smooth.
7. Incorporate the crème fraîche and season to taste with salt and freshly ground pepper. Cover until ready to eat.

Bonus tips
- For a thicker consistency of your mashed potatoes, reduce the amount of milk by two.
- My grandmother always replaces the crème fraîche with olive oil (about 10 cl)
- If you want to make homemade mashed potatoes, follow the same recipe and mash the potatoes until you get a completely smooth consistency.
The potato masher will then come in handy. You can also add a little milk for a smoother texture.
