Ingredients

Preparation time : 10 minutes - Total time : 25 mins

- 12 large hard-boiled eggs

- 100 g of mayonnaise

- 1.5 tablespoons of Dijon mustard

- 1/4 tablespoon of garlic powder

- a big pinch of salt (more or less according to taste)

- a small carrot, peeled and cut into thin slices

- 6 pitted black olives

- a sharp knife

- a straw

- a pastry nozzle

How to do

1. Remove the shell from the 12 hard-boiled eggs.

2. With a sharp knife, cut a very thin layer at the base of the egg. This will allow you to have a flat surface so that the egg sits upright on the plate.

3. Cut off the top of the eggs to about two-thirds.

4. Gently squeeze the base of the egg to loosen the yolk from the white. Squeeze out the yolks by pressing gently. They should come off easily. Keep the lids with their bases.

Extra tips

- You don't have Dijon mustard? Not serious ! Replace it with 1.5 tablespoons of white vinegar.

- If you have trouble peeling the eggs, try to do it under running tap water. Very fresh eggs do not flake easily. So I always cook a little more hard-boiled eggs so that I don't run out if there is a problem.

- You can also put baking soda in the cooking water so that the shell comes off easily. Check out the trick here.

- You can use ready-made mayonnaise for this recipe. But homemade mayonnaise is really better and easier to make. Check out the recipe here.

- To be sure that your hard-boiled eggs are well cooked, follow the guide here.

- And so that the shell of the eggs does not crack during cooking, add a dash of white vinegar to the cooking water. Check out the trick here.

- If you do not have a pastry nozzle, you can use a Zyploc type bag. Fill it with your mixture and cut one of the bottom corners of the bag. Insert this wedge into the white of the egg and press gently to release the mixture.

- A small teaspoon can also be used to garnish the egg whites.
