How To Revive The Colors Of Fragile Fabrics (Silk & Cashmere).

Fortunately, there is an effective grandmother's trick to gently revive the colors of fragile fabrics.
The simple trick is to soak the garment in a lightly vinegar water bath. Look :
How to do
1. Pour cold water into a basin.
2. Add a tablespoon of vinegar per liter of cold water.
3. Soak your silk garment in vinegar water for 5 minutes.
5. Rinse the garment in cold water.
6. Then wash it as usual, taking all the necessary precautions.
Results
And there you have it, your silk or cashmere garment has regained all its flamboyant colors :-)

The colors are as vivid as the first day you bought it! It's still prettier like that, isn't it?
And you don't even have to buy Scarlet Water or Mir to brighten up the colors! It is much more economical that way.

Has your white silk dress turned yellow? Do not use bleach to bleach it. Rinse your garment instead in water with a few tablespoons of the vinegar added.
Why does it work?
Vinegar is a product with an acidic pH. It is the acidity of the vinegar which makes it possible to revive the colors.
White vinegar removes all residues that tarnish colors so that they regain their original shine.
And this without damaging the fragile fibers of silk or cashmere!
Precaution
Silk is a very fragile and delicate fabric. So start by doing a test on a small corner of the fabric that is not very visible.
Anyway, few products which are less aggressive than vinegar water for silk.
