The Pro Tip For EASY Tiling.
Do you need to install tiles in your shower, bathroom or kitchen?
The main difficulty is to space the tiles perfectly.
If you do this with the naked eye, there is a big risk of a mismatch between the tiles!
Luckily, a tiler friend told me about his trick for laying tiles easily and keeping the spacing between tiles the same.
His trick is to use 1 cent coins to have the same spacing and to be able to remove them easily. Look :
How to do
1. Spread the glue evenly with a serrated plaster.
2. Position the tiles one row at a time, interspersing them with penny coins.
3. Once the tile tiles are glued, easily remove the pieces by pulling on them.
4. Spread and work the grout onto the tile using a grout float.
5. When the cement begins to dry, remove the burrs with a clean, damp sponge.
Results
And there you have it, thanks to this trick, you have laid tiling easily and your tiles are perfectly spaced :-)
Easy, fast and efficient, isn't it?
Thanks to the 1 cent coins, the spacing between the tiles is the same everywhere.
You don't even need to use braces to have joints of the same size between each tile!
Note that the 1, 2 or 5 cent coins are all the same thickness, namely precisely 1.67 mm.
For thicker joints, you can use other common coins, which vary in thickness.
Thus, the 10 cent coins are 1.93 mm thick and the 20 cent coins are 2.14 mm thick.
