Group purchasing sites on the Internet: our tips for making the most of it.
To be sure to get the most out of deals on group buying sites, check out my 3 tips.
Do you all know the American giant of the bundled deal: Groupon? You know the site which allows you to obtain a reduction on a restaurant or a spa if the deal is bought by a large enough number of Internet users.
A jungle where it is difficult to find a place
After testing a large number of group shopping sites, I learned to take better advantage of the offers. Good deals are so popular there that when you are looking to book a deal you have just bought, there is often no room for several weeks ... which can be quite frustrating. Recently I bought a deal to get my hair cut for half the price. I saw a deal for a barber near me that I bought. However, when I tried to book an appointment the next day, there were no places for at least two months ...
Don't wait to book
Once you have spotted an interesting good plan, do not wait for the deal to be validated by the site. Book your place directly at the hairdresser, in the restaurant. Thus, you will be one of the first participants to reserve your place and have a better chance to take advantage of your coupon whenever you want. Buying after booking will guarantee you have paid for something that you will actually use ...
Watch out for scams
That's right, using group shopping sites will save you money. However, beware of hidden clauses ... Some deals are only valid from a minimum expenditure amount. So read the terms and conditions of the deal carefully before buying. If you are not sure whether to spend the minimum amount then do not purchase the coupon as you will not be able to benefit from the discount.
Plans not so good as that
Some of the deals offered suggest incredible reductions ... This is particularly the case for restaurants where it is often observed at the time of the bill that certain services were not included in the coupon. Wine, coffees or even dessert are not always part of the proposed deal. It's not always clear on the deal so read the terms of use carefully to avoid unpleasant surprises.
A statistic that speaks for itself
Note that 10% of the coupons purchased are not used for the greatest pleasure of the group buying site as well as the merchant, but not for your wallet. Just be careful not to overconsume!
Savings Realized
To sum up, by using group shopping sites you will be able to save 50%, even more, on restaurants, massages, and other local businesses.
The most important thing in order not to be fooled is to do it well in advance or to check the availability of your deal before buying it, and of course not to make compulsive purchases that you would not use.
