The trick to take off all the grilled residue quickly, is to sprinkle the device with baking soda. Look :

How to do

1. Unplug the device.

2. Let it cool down.

3. Put a little water on the plates.

4. Sprinkle them with baking soda.

5. Scrub with a small brush or an old toothbrush.

6. Moisten a sponge.

7. Pass it over the plates to rinse them.

8. Wipe them with a clean cloth.

Results

And there you have it, the plates of your sandwich maker are now perfectly clean :-)
