How to get rid of the smell of pee in your toilet.

If you share your house with 2 or 3 little boys, or even more, you must already know this peculiar smell that emanates from the toilet.

This smell of pee emanating from the toilet, I call it, the smell of little guys!

If you don't have little boys, you might be wondering what the difference is between a "normal smell" in the bathroom and "a boyish smell".

Well the difference is simple. When you have boys at home, you can clean your toilets every day, and even several times a day, your toilets will always have that typical smell of toilets in gas stations or train stations… In short, toilets that stink!

Yes without laughing… it's hard to believe until we have experienced it.

The trick to removing urine odor in the toilet

Luckily, there is a way to get rid of the smell of pee in the toilet! And the good news is, it's easy to fix and doesn't require overpriced chemicals to remove urine odor.

Besides, you probably have everything you need on hand. Look :

Ingredients

- lemon juice (do not use lemon on wooden floors)

- baking soda

- White vinegar

- empty sprayer

How to do

eliminate the smell of pee in the toilet

1. Mix baking soda and lemon juice to make a thick paste.

2. With a damp cloth, spread this paste around the base of the toilet.

3. Apply the mixture to the entire surface of the toilet including the seat and below.

4. Leave on for about fifteen minutes.

5. Put the vinegar in an empty spray bottle.

6. Sprinkle white vinegar wherever you applied baking soda. The white vinegar will react with the baking soda / lemon mixture and it will sparkle!

7. When it has finished fizzing, wipe down all around the toilet with a clean, damp cloth.

8. For hard-to-reach areas, such as the area where the toilet seat is attached, use a toothbrush and white vinegar to keep the toilet clean.

Hopefully, once you clean this place well, you don't have to clean it every time.

Results

And there you have it, no more bad smell of pee in the toilet :-)

Your toilets are totally clean and smell like lemon! Now you know how to get rid of the smell of human urine.

Your guests are no longer likely to have unpleasant surprises when going to the bathroom at your home!

Why does it smell so bad?

White vinegar, baking soda and lemon placed on the toilet to eliminate pee odors

One of the reasons little boyish odors in the bathroom are so hard to get rid of is that little boys tend to aim badly when they go to the bathroom ... especially at night!

As a result, they may spray the bathroom closet, the wall, the trash can, or whatever is not too far from the toilet. Even the shower curtain needs to be washed every now and then if your toilet is in the bathroom!

Also, when cleaning the toilet, be sure to clean the entire area around the toilet. If you have a floor mat, don't forget to wash it too.

To be used once a week

Unfortunately, even using this method of cleaning, you will need to deep clean at least once a week to neutralize the smell of urine. It all depends on whether you have a lot of guests and whether they use the restroom often.

Yep, it would be so much easier if the boys knew how to aim better when they go to the bathroom, or let's be crazy, if they could clean the toilet themselves every now and then!

But at least with this trick, even if you are the only person cleaning the toilet, you will still manage to get rid of that strong, lingering urine odor!
